The settings tab

The settings tab contains the following controls:

  • Place Beneath The parent of the document may be changed by selecting a new parent using this tool. The current path to the document is shown, and links back to the parent documents. Click on the Change button and a dialog box appears (see image below). Clicking on one of the document names in the gray section of the dialog box changes the parent to that document, and all children of the new parent will be shown beneath in the white section. Choose apply to apply the change, or cancel to close the dialog box without making a change.

  • Title Enter a new value to change the title of the document

  • Filename Enter a new value to change the filename of the document

  • Show in Menus determines whether the current page will appear in menus included in the site.

  • Design determines whether the page uses the default template for its appearance, or another user-defined Design Template.

  • Email Notification Design provides a template for emails generated by events related to the page (new blog entries, for example).

  • Edit With Form this control specifies a form to be used in the editing of the page. If a form is used, when the user enters the edit mode, the form will be presented rather than a series of display components.

  • Order Peers these dropdown menus determine the order of peer-level documents in the document tree. This will determine the order in which links will appear in a menu (on the left of this page, for instance). To change the order of the documents, select a new numerical sequence from the dropdown menus. Bear in mind that if one number is changed, some or all of the others will also need to be changed and no number may be repeated.
